Soft-magnetic sintered components
Sintered soft magnetic parts are used to guide or amplify a magnetic field. Their function in an electromagnetic circuit may be to transform an electrical signal into motion or to transform motion into an electrical signal, based on their ability to be magnetized and demagnetized easily and quickly when a magnetic field is applied or removed.
AMES can offer a wide diversity of materials and processes, suitable for customizing the component, and an R&D Laboratory equiped with a number of devices for magnetic properties characterisation, like coercive force, induction, resistivity, inductance, hysteresis loops, magnetic losses, etc.
AMES is a world renowned specialist in the soft sintered magnetic components manufacturing, with a wide range of applications:
Winding cores, armatures, poles, stators, rotors, housings, etc. for many types of linear and rotary actuators made of pure Fe, Fe-P or Fe-Si.
Components for electrical machines of pure Fe and Fe-P: pole pieces, winding cores, contactors, switches, inductive components, etc.
SMC composite components for working at high frequency (≥ 400 Hz) which are suitable for minimizing magnetic losses: rotors and stators of electric motors, inductive components, injectors, ignition coils, and a wide range of parts for some electrical machines and special actuators.
Pulse sensors for ABS brakes, vehicle engines, camshafts and crankshafts made of pure Fe, Fe-P or sometimes ferritic stainless steel.
Winding cores of high sensitivity detectors-sensors manufactured in Fe-Ni, when a fast response is required.
Components made of Fe-Co material suitable for maximizing the induction/volume ratio in devices with limited space.
